Yes you can, but don’t think it will be that easy. You got whatever it takes, but sometimes you have to take another direction..think different! Think bigger. In terms of branding, building a brand.
You can make a lot of money as a personal blogger, its called lifestyle blogging. But when you are not famous yet. When you are not Rihanna, Kimk ,Shakira, 50cent, Kylie Jenner or Ronaldo, not many people will care about what you write, at least almost nobody..There are also too many personal bloggers that make no money and blog for a small audience.
No you want to make money blogging, right?
If you are a famous it will be more easy. Rihanna can start a mommy blog and millions of fans will read it daily so she will make thousands of dollar just with some premium advertising network like Mediavine or Adthrive. The best ones out there.
The best thing to do as a personal/lifestyle blogger is to mix up your blog with educational and informative articles. Bring people extra information, give them something to think about. Give people information they google for. Billions of people use Google and other search engines. When you have the best answers you will get traffic/readers and fans and this is what you need.
I wanted to start my own fashion & beauty blog with pictures of clothes and beauty looks but I know blogging was a bit dead in 2023, or lets say less popular then it was before. Instagram, YouTube and TikTok took over everything but I love writing and I rather focus on content. I love to make pictures but I was not Insta famous so what I did is I mix up informative content with personal style images and shoots. I give people information about blogging, influencers, how to make money online, but also about fashion and beauty. I give them information about brands, reviews and more. Its a mix of a lifestyle blog with a personal twist. Personal style images with informative and educational content. I thought it was a pretty good idea to reach a large audience and thus to make money blogging with doing what I like.
To become an expert on your niche you will need to do a lot of research and reading. I knew all the blogs before I started mine and I knew a lot about blogging, entrepreneurship and lifestyle. I read and check Neil Patel, Wealthy Gorilla, addicted2success, Poosh, A cup of Jo,Bustle, Cosmopolitan, Elite Daily almost everyday. I check these blogs daily and I keep up with the latest fashion and beauty trends on other popular blogs like Byrdie and Allure.com.
Of course you can start a mommy blog and write about your daily life but there are already so many mommy blogs out there full of info and advice. It is better to start an allround brand or lifestyle blog.
So I was wondering (got another idea for a brand!), what you think of www.uareeverything.com? An empowering lifestyle blog for women about health, style, beauty, wellness, dating, relationships, etc. So nothing personal but just for the broader public. You can write the articles yourself and do research yourself or you can hire a good writer. I think I will do both. Some topics I know a lot about but others I can better hire a good writer in this niche. For example something with understanding of relationships, dating, sex or health. I know a lot about blogging and entrepreneurship, but I am not so experienced with relationships and dating. So find someone, an experienced writer that knows a lot information about this subject/this topic niche.
So then you are wondering, but how do you actually make money with a blog? There are many ways, but the best is premium advertising. Advertisers like Adthrive and Mediavine. To get accepted for these advertisers you will need a lot of traffic and you need traffic from rich countries like the USA, Australie, Canada etc. The richer countries that spend more money on advertising on blogs. Do you want to make a fulltime income, lets say 5000 dollar a month with blogging? Then You will need thousands of visitors a day. Lets say at least 5000 unique visitors a day. Thats a lot and this takes time, promotion and marketing. But it is not impossible. When you blog in English you can reach millions of people in the world. If you write interesting content that people search for and things people want to know.
There is also sponsored content and affiliate marketing. I suggest you to read our other articles and find everything out. With these things ways combined you can make 10.000 a month with just 1 blog if not more. Having millions readers a month? you can make 50.000 dollar easily! Also think about selling your own products. You will have fans and readers and they will want to buy your stuff. So you can make money with premium ads, with affiliate marketing, with sponsored content (more linkbuilding nowadays)and with your own shop/products. Boom: you will be a rich blogger!
